Gap Widens to 102 Votes in Klickitat County Sheriff's Race

Klickitat County primary election results are still rolling in. 

As of today there are 16,045 registered voters in the county, of which 33.11% have voted in this year's election. 

As of yesterday evening 5,313 votes had been counted and an estimated 2,450 ballots were left to count. The ballot count will resume today at 5:00 p.m. 

County Races

On Wednesday, only forty-one votes separated the Klickitat County Sheriff candidates. But at the end of yesterday’s count 102 votes separated the candidates. Bob Songer was in the lead with 2,611 votes and Garique Clifford has fallen behind with a total of 2,509 votes.

In the uncontested Klickitat County Assessor race, Republican Billi Jean Bare has the lead with 3,482 votes. 

In the Klickitat County Auditor’s race Heather Jobe has the lead with 2,829 votes followed by JoAnne Enyeart Chambers with 1,521 votes. 

In the Klickitat County Clerk’s race Renea Campbell has the lead with 3,370 votes followed by Shelby McKern with 1,541 votes. 

In the County Commissioner Position #2 race, Lori Zoller has the lead with 651 votes followed by William J. Morris, each with 392 votes and Matt Dumolt with 383 votes, and Rick Esaacson with 193 votes.

In the uncontested Klickitat County Prosecuting Attorney race David R Quesnel has the lead with 3,189 votes followed by 135 write-in votes. 

In the uncontested Klickitat County Treasurer race Greg Gallgher has the lead with 3,461 votes followed by 62 write-in votes. 

Multi-County Races 

The following results include only Klickitat County.

In the U.S. Senators race, Klickitat County has leaned towards Democrat Patty Murray who has the lead with 2,010 votes, followed closely by Republican Tiffany Smiley with 1,950 votes. 

In the 4th Congressional District Representative race Democrat Doug White has the lead in Klickitat County with 1,969 votes followed by Republican Loren Culp has 1,509 votes.

In the Washington State Secretary of State race Democrat Steve Hobbs had the lead with 1,522 votes followed by Republican Keith L Wagoner with 858 votes. 

In the 14th State Representative Position #1 Chris Corry has the lead with 2,920 votes, followed by Laurene Contreras with 1,784 votes. 

In the 14th State Representative Position #2 Republican Gina Mosbrucker has the lead with 3,004votes, followed by Independent Chirs Faison with 1,148.
