Lighting it up at TD Skatepark; New lights will provide more hours in cooler temps

By Tom Peterson

The Dalles, Ore., March 15, 2024 — Harley Wright of White Salmon was loving the new pump track near The Dalles Aquatic Center this afternoon as Hage Electric began work on installing overhead lights for the facility.

The lights will provide light for the skate park and pump track during evening hours, a real boon to scooters, skaters, and bike bombers.

The lights will become especially nice when the heat hits in coming months and the facility can be used into the evening hours when temperatures drop, said North Wasco County Parks and Recreation Director Scott Baker.

Conduit, wire and base for light pole that will be erected in days to come.

Light it up, bro

A year ago, Baker said there would be a fundraising event to gain additional dollars for lighting the area to extend the use of the park during darker months.

Mission accomplished. CCCNews will light up a new photo when Hage Electric finishes the job.
