TD Parent Seeks a Community to Build Waldorf-Inspired Early Childhood Program
When Beth Slowik couldn’t find the right early education fit for their one-and-a-half-year-old child, they decided to take action. Slowik (they/them), a certified early childhood professional and full-time stay-at-home parent in The Dalles, has worked in diverse educational settings since 2005, including classrooms at Waldorf-inspired schools.

Starting this August, residents around the Columbia River Gorge will have a unique opportunity to learn whitewater hard-shell kayaking for no cost this summer, thanks to a kayak progression program aimed at diversifying paddle sports in the region.

Drug Bust Yields Cocaine, Firearms, and $100K in The Dalles; One Arrested
Police seized about 143 grams of suspected cocaine and pharmaceutical pills. A handgun and tactical rifle were also seized. The rifle was reported as stolen from central Oregon. Officers and Deputies also seized $101,756.00 of suspected drug proceeds from the address.

City of TD moves on plaza, approves 10th street upgrades; $6.2 million put to projects
