Two Dog Day Underway
Fritz and Vera brought their owner to the Riverfront Trail in The Dalles this morning, Thursday, Jan. 14 to enjoy some sniffing and tranquility as the Columbia River went undisturbed by even the slightest breeze. The sun’s emergence gave a lovely depth to the clouds and emboldened the sense of a hopeful day. Joyce Brake said it was a nice respite after she dropped her two excited children at St. Mary’s Academy for school, having recently elected to forego online learning in favor of getting them back into an in-person classroom. Brake, of White Salmon, said Fritz, the white dog, was a rescue and Vera is a German Sheppard.
